None of us is born thinking we are ordinary. Feeling special is an essential part of the human birthright. If you don’t think you are special, you won’t seek to contribute your gift to the world. -Rabbi Shmuley Boteach

About Me

I am a born and raised native of the sunny (read HOT) state of Arizona, USA (actually an unusual thing for someone my age!). I live in Gilbert with my husband of 30plus years. We have two grown kids and a feral calico who thinks my husband is the bomb (much to his horror)! I retired in January 2017 from Aerospace and have been trying to adjust to being unemployed after 40 years of working full time.

I grew up with a mom who was always up to something crafty and encouraged me to explore the realm of creativity. I am curious by nature so learning something new has always been a big thing with me. Although I love most anything craft related, cross stitch, especially beaded cross stitch was one of my favorites, but losing sight in one eye has made it difficult for me to do that anymore but I generally have a crochet project in the works by my chair.

A friend introduced me to rubber stamping over 10 years ago and now here I am! I have my own personal blog, own Through the Craft Door Magazine and challenge blog and I am on three other design teams as well as the BRAK on SplitCoastStampers ! (My husband is still trying to figure out how I did all this PLUS work full time and take care of the house LOL).

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you have found something to inspire you to create something or try something new!

Here is our 19pound feral Gobi Hayve Malmrose
She looks sweet, but don't be fooled ...
